Welcome to Rotary Youth Exchange student Lea Roos from Switzerland. Lea arrived in town on the 10th August, after having spent her first two weeks of her Exchange Year in Perth to attend the inbound/outbound briefing. Lea spent her first week in town with the Hawes-Wright family and is now with her first host family – the Dessert-McGee’s (thank you to Libuse, Sean and family). Natika is Lea's mentor for her year in Kununurra, and the club has 4 families lined up for Lea's time in town, so, as we do each year when we have new students, we would encourage Rotarians to make themselves known to Lea and remember to give her host family a call if you have plans to go anywhere that you think she might enjoy. Lea has already managed to get to the Wyndham Cup, enrolled in KDHS, celebrated her 16th birthday with her new friends and been to see the turtles nesting with host Dad, Sean! Fiona and Tik have set up an iCloud calendar for Lea's activities and if you would like to share the calendar to help you plan exciting trips out and about, let Tik or Fi know so they can invite you into it! (You will need an iTunes/iCloud account log in address for it!)
