We are asking for all members to prepare a 5-10 minute talk about themselves. Along the lines of: where they have come from, why they came to Kununurra & what do they do in Kununurra. Also what are their interests outside of their work & Rotary.
We will be calling this a “Me talk” for when we don’t have any other guest speakers booked for our meetings.
Welcome to Rotary Youth Exchange student Lea Roos from Switzerland.
Lea arrived in town on the 10th August, after having spent her first two weeks of her Exchange Year in Perth to attend the inbound/outbound briefing.
Lea spent her first week in town with the Hawes-Wright family and is now with her first host family – the Dessert-McGee’s (thank you to Libuse, Sean and family).
The Board met for the first time for the new Club year on Monday 17 August.
It seems so far away now, but for those who missed the July outdoor meeting at Bill and Andrea's property Riverfarm, well, you missed a lovely evening.
Visit by the Hon Kerry Sanderson, AO
Governor of Western Australia
We were very privileged to have the Governor and her official party join us for dinner on Tuesday 28 July at Gulliver’s Tavern. After some initial hiccups (ie. nothing in their glasses to toast with – eek!) – the Governor settled into the evening.
The Rotary Club of Kununurra aims to send out newsletters to members each month, you can keep up with what's happening right here.
